Did you know this year is a Leap Year?!?! On this very special once-every-four-years-day painter (and my room-mate) Christina Nicola and I will be hosting an open studio and want all of our creative friends to come! Christina will be previewing some brand new work and I will be hosting the first ever ÆSTHESIA Workshop with the Music:Not Impossible (M:NI) haptic suits!
This workshop will include a live streaming experience of the sounds of plants by ALURIA (Juan Correa Lopez) with plants provided by Horti. If you aren’t going to be able to make it to our showcase with M:NI in March at the Museum of the Moving Image this is your chance to get an early and intimate preview of the work and to get to try on the haptic suits feeling the sounds of plants. The workshop will also include an arts and crafts portion of making your own plant art with sun prints but you must RSVP so I can ensure there is enough for everyone to be able to play!
There will be home made food, prints for purchase, and some other fun surprises in the mix. Hope to see you all there
